About This Trek
Passu village, in Upper Hunza, sits beneath some of the Karakoram's most dramatic scenery — the jagged Passu Cones on one side and the vast Batura Glacier on the other. This trek crosses the glacier itself before climbing to Patundas meadow at 4,170m.
The reward at the top is one of the finest panoramas in Hunza: Passu Cones, Batura Glacier, Shispare Peak and the Hunza valley laid out below. It's a moderate but genuinely rewarding overnight trek, popular with photographers.

Day-by-Day Itinerary
We drive north along the Karakoram Highway through Hunza to reach Passu village, checking into a guesthouse with views of the Passu Cones.

We cross the Batura Glacier moraine and climb steadily to Patundas meadow, arriving in the afternoon with time to enjoy the panorama before camping overnight.
